音源が読み込めない

対応しているのは、ファイル App や「ファイルに保存」で端末に置いた m4a / mp3 / wav です。

Apple Music の曲は DRM(著作権保護)がかかっているため、DanceNow では読み込み・編集・書き出しのいずれもできません。 これは Apple の仕組みによる制限で、他のアプリでも同じです。

手元にある購入曲・自分で作った音源・編集したミックスをファイルとして用意すると使えます。

なお、Apple Music の曲を「構成のプレビューと1カウント目の確定」にだけ使えるようにすることは検討しています(編集と書き出しは引き続きファイルのみです)。

受け取った .dancenow が開けない

送った側と受け取る側の両方で、DanceNow を最新にしてください。「App Store でアプリを最新にしてから開いてください」と出た場合は、送った側の方が新しい版で作ったファイルです。受け取る側のアプリを App Store で更新すると開けるようになります。

受け取った構成に音がない

.dancenow に音源は既定では含まれません。送る人が共有のときに「音源も入れる」を選んだ場合だけ同梱されます。音源は他者の著作物であることが多いため、選ぶたびに確認を出しています。同梱した音源の権利は、送る人の責任で扱ってください。

入っていない場合は、受け取った直後に出る画面で自分の端末にある同じ音源を選び直してください。音源を選ばなくても、構成の確認と動画の書き出し(無音)はできます。

LINE で .dancenow が送れない

LINE は送れるファイルの種類を限っていて、.dancenow のような独自の形式は受け取ってもらえません。書き出しで「zip で書き出し(LINE で送る時)」を選んでください。 zip なら LINE を通ります。

受け取った人は、zip をそのまま DanceNow で開けます——LINE の共有メニューや、ファイル App の「このアプリで開く」から DanceNow を選んでください。構成の一覧の「+」の左にある取り込みボタンから選んでも同じです。

AirDrop・ファイル App・メールなら、.dancenow のままでも渡せます。相手が DanceNow を使っていない場合は、動画か PDF で書き出すと LINE でもそのまま送れます(編集はできませんが、立ち位置は伝わります)。

書き出した動画や PDF に「DanceNow」と入る

無料でお使いの場合、動画と PDF のいちばん下に「DanceNow」の 1 行が入ります。ステージの外に置いてあるので、立ち位置や名前が隠れることはありません。 DanceNow Pro にすると小さな印だけになり、「設定」のスイッチで消すこともできます。

書き出した動画が写真に無い

iPhone の「設定」→「DanceNow」→「写真」で、「追加のみ」または「フルアクセス」になっているか確認してください。「なし」になっていると保存できません。書き出しの最後に「動画を保存しました！」と出ていれば、写真 App の「最近の項目」にあります。

書き出した動画や配った音源の権利はどうなる?

書き出した動画や、共有した .dancenow に含まれる音源の権利は、利用者の責任で扱ってください。 DanceNow は端末の中で音源を編集・書き出しするだけで、権利の確認や許諾の代行はしません。他者の楽曲を使った動画を配る・公開する場合は、その楽曲の権利者の条件に従ってください。共有で「音源も入れる」を選ぶときにも同じ確認を出しています。

データはどこに保存される?

すべて iPhone の中です。 動画・音源・構成のデータをサーバーに送る仕組みはアプリにありません。外部へ渡るのは購入(課金)の記録だけです。詳しくはプライバシーポリシーをご覧ください。

アプリを消したら構成も消えた

iOS はアプリを削除するときに、そのアプリのデータも一緒に消します。 削除の瞬間にアプリ側から「残しますか?」と確認を出すことはできない仕組みです。

そのため、「設定」に「バックアップを書き出す」があります。構成と音源プロジェクトを 1 つのファイルにまとめられるので、ファイル App や iCloud Drive などアプリの外に置いておいてください。戻すときは「バックアップから復元」か、そのファイルをファイル App でタップします。

機種変更や iPhone の復元では、iCloud やパソコンで取った端末のバックアップに構成も含まれているので一緒に戻ります。戻らないのは、同じ iPhone でアプリを削除して入れ直した場合だけです。

My music won't load

DanceNow reads m4a / mp3 / wav files kept on your device — through the Files app, or anything you saved with “Save to Files”.

Apple Music tracks are DRM-protected, so DanceNow cannot load, edit or export them. This is a limitation of Apple's system and applies to every app.

Songs you bought and own as files, audio you made yourself, or a mix you edited will all work once they are saved as a file.

We are looking into letting Apple Music tracks be used for previewing a formation and setting count one (editing and export would still need a file).

I can't open a .dancenow file I received

Make sure both the sender and the receiver have the latest DanceNow. If you see “Please update the app from the App Store before opening this”, the file was made with a newer version than yours — updating DanceNow from the App Store will let you open it.

The formation I received has no music

A .dancenow file does not include audio by default. It is bundled only when the sender chose “Include the audio” while sharing, and the app asks every time because music is usually someone else's copyrighted work. The sender is responsible for the rights to any audio they bundle.

If it wasn't included, the screen that appears right after receiving lets you pick the same track from your own device. You can still review the formation and export a (silent) video without picking one.

I can't send a .dancenow file over LINE

LINE limits which file types it accepts, and it will not take a custom format like .dancenow. Choose “Export as a zip (for LINE)” — a zip goes through.

Whoever receives it can open the zip in DanceNow directly — pick DanceNow from LINE's share menu, or from “Open with” in the Files app. The import button to the left of the + on the formation list does the same thing.

AirDrop, the Files app and email all carry a .dancenow as it is. If the other person doesn't use DanceNow, export as a video or a PDF — those go through LINE fine. They can't be edited, but the positions come across.

My exported video or PDF says “DanceNow”

On the free plan, a single DanceNow line sits at the very bottom of exported videos and PDFs. It is outside the stage, so it never hides a position or a name. DanceNow Pro shrinks it to a small mark, and a switch in Settings turns it off.

The exported video isn't in Photos

Open Settings → DanceNow → Photos and check that it is set to “Add Photos Only” or “Full Access”. With “None”, saving fails. If the app showed “Video saved!” at the end of the export, the video is in the Recents album of the Photos app.

Who is responsible for the music in what I export or share?

You are. The rights to any music in an exported video, or bundled into a shared .dancenow file, remain your responsibility. DanceNow only edits and exports audio on your device; it does not check or clear rights for you. If you hand out or publish a video that uses someone else's music, follow that rights holder's terms. The app asks you to confirm this whenever you choose “Include the audio” while sharing.

Where is my data stored?

Entirely on your iPhone. The app has no mechanism to send videos, music or formation data to any server. The only thing that leaves the device is your purchase record. See the Privacy Policy for details.

I deleted the app and my formations are gone

iOS deletes an app's data along with the app. There is no way for an app to ask “keep this?” at the moment it is deleted.

That is why Settings has Export a backup. It gathers your formations and audio projects into a single file — keep that file outside the app, in Files or iCloud Drive. To bring it back, use “Restore from a backup”, or just tap the file in the Files app.

Moving to a new iPhone, or restoring one, brings your formations with it: they are part of the iCloud or computer backup of the device. The one case they do not come back is deleting and reinstalling the app on the same iPhone.
